The walk begins at the Fewston car park. Heading west up a short stretch of road to White Crag Farm, we continue west through Beechcroft wood before climbing up to Timble. From here we go east passed Book End Farm before turning south to drop down to the river. Another short climb takes us up to Washburn Farm, where we head south again passed Midge Hall Farm, the ruins of Dobpark Lodge to Dob Park House. A lengthy downhill farm road and track take us back down to the river at Dobpark Bridge, which we cross to pick up the riverside path back to Swinsty Reservoir. We now walk along the north east shore to reach Fewston dam and our car park.
About 9.5 miles with all of the climbs are in the first half. Farm roads and tracks Yorkshire Water and field paths. Great views.
The car park is the one between Fewston and Swinsty Reservoirs, the one with the toilet (and ice cream van!).
