Follow the Yankee road for 2 km and then cross pathless, open hillside to the 292m trig point. Skirt around the ‘tank graveyard’ and then north east up the open hillside to the summit of Maol an Fheidh. Return south along the Strone and then return to the start via the firing ranges.

Local Grade: B

Terrain: Pathless, open hillside once we leave the Yankee Road. Hill paths from the summit for our return via the ranges.

Max height: 589 m.

There is currently no range activity planned for the day but should this change we will have the option of the Yankee Road circular
