Metro based walk
Leader: John I (meeting group at walk start)
Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the Metrolink platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the tram, or at the Walk Start at East Didsbury Metrolink station..
Transport to Walk Start: Any tram to get you to walk start for 12:30pm
Suggested Ticket: Zone 1+2+3 ticket
Walk Start: East Didsbury Metrolink at 12:30.
Waypoints: River Mersey, Cheadle Bridge, Millgate Farm, Fletcher Moss, Park, Didsbury Recreation Ground
Return Service: Numerous transport options back to Manchester / Stockport, etc
Extra: No toilets at walk start or en-route. Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).
A slightly, but not too bracing Boxing Day Walk, along the River Mersey and back through Fletcher Moss Park, stopping at a pub or two on the way back.
