Train and bus based walk
Leader: John W (meeting group at Macclesfield station)
Meet Point: Near the ticket barriers, or on the platform at Piccadilly Station. Alternatively, meet the group on the train, at Macclesfield station at 10:45am or at the walk start.
Transport to Walk Start: 10:25 train from Manchester Piccadilly to Macclesfield, then 11:10am bus to Bollington
Suggested Ticket: GM Wayfarer £17.40 for all journeys, all day.
Walk Start: Bollington bus stop at 11:35.
Waypoints: Berristall Hall, Brink Farm, Further Harrop Farm, Harrop Fold Farm, Four Lane Ends Farm, Hayles Clough, Kerridge Hill, White Nancy
Return Services: Number 10 bus from Bollington: 16:37, 17:07, 17:37, 18:07, or 391 bus from Bollington 16:22, 18:22
Extra: Toilets at Macclesfield Station. Toilets at Robin Hood pub. Optional drinks at the end of the walk. Please do not bring your dog (apart from assistance dogs).
This is a very scenic walk navigating farms and fields in the vicinity of Pot Shrigley and Kerridge.
It us mainly flat with some light ascent and one 100m ascent.
