Mells and the Colliers Way

West Mendip Walkers delightful varied 11.4 mile walk starting at Mells Recreation Field car park. The walk includes parkland, riverbank along Mells Stream, river Frome, railway paths along Colliers Way & a few fields. Also passing old Mills, lime kilns and old relics from a bygone era of an industrial age. Generally level walking on mostly good paths however after rain could be muddy through fields. There’s a one stile and gate to climb. Dog friendly, however there are a few cattle fields so dogs should be on leads. This walk is generally level.  The Talbot Inn will provide plenty of refreshments at the start or/& finish.
