Overview

West Mendip Walkers moderate 9 mile walk from Rowberrow.  The walk first take us down to Dolebury where there is a steep climb up the steps to the top of the Iron Age hill fort. From here we descend into Mendip Woods, dip down The Link to Burrington, then follow the paths to Rickford. Here we cross farmland which leads us to Blagdon where we walk up through the village, cutting across Luvers Lane to The Ham. We then cross the Coombe and walk back to The Swan across Blackdown. Dog friendly but they may need to be on leads across farm land along the lanes, and if livestock present on the moor. This walk has some steep climbs. We start and finish at The Swan where you can get tea and coffee or bar beverages.
