Overview

Join me on this 7 mile circuit of the moorlands above Hollingworth and Tintwistle in the Longdendale Valley. We begin our Ramble at the picturesque disused quarry on Hobson Moor Road and head off through farmland to Landslow Green and through Hall Farm. On the far side of the farm we will have a short  break so bring your flask and a snack. Once refreshed we continue across the Tameside Trail to Devils Bridge and up to Arnfield Low Moor for lunch. Once our lunch boxes are empty we will continue along the Pennine Bridleway at Higher Bank and around Lees Hill where from this moorland vantage point we will have wonderful views of Higher and Lower Swineshaw reservoirs and Brushes reservoir below us. If time allows another short coffee break will be taken near Middle Bank on our way back to Hobson Moor Road via Moorside Farm.

Please note: there may be livestock stock in fields and moorland paths can be boggy and uneven. There will be hills. There will be stiles. There are no toilets along this route.  Dogs are not allowed on this walk.
