We are the Inverurie Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A Moderate circular walk 7.75 miles. BOOKING IS ESSENTIAL - please contact the walk leader Morris using the contact details provided to book. Meet at North Street (Hospital Brae end), Strichen, Fraserburgh, AB43 6SX, O.S. Landranger Map 30, GR NJ 94575541.
The walk is on tarred road, grass/hard core track with some "heather bashing". Spectacular views as far as Bennachie and Fraserburgh. The walk starts following Hospital Brae to Bransfarm. We then take the grass track past the rifle range to the White Horse and up to Hunters Lodge, down to a hard core track past a (possible) bronze age cairn and up to the Tropospheric Scatter Relay Station on Mormond Hill. We then do some heather bashing to the Cortes Stag which is the only one of its type in the world. We then take a pathless walk through grass to find the top of Waughton hill and down to a hard core track past a quarry, turning off on to a grassy track to the wind turbine on Hospital Brae. Return to the meeting point.

Good walking boots, gaiters, waterproofs and walking poles are advised. Bring food and drink.
Parking: On-street parking is available in North Street. Please do not block entrances.
Toilets: There are no toilets on the route.
