This is a really pleasant 7 mile walk around Dallowgill in Nidderdale, South West of Kirkby Maltzeard.
We will start the walk at Tom Corner following the road/track along the moor. After cross ing a ford, we continue to pass Carlsmoor House Farm to join the Ripon Rowel which we follow for 2 miles. Another track leads us down a pleasant lane to cross a brook over a footbridge. We'll join a little used tarmacked lane eventually emerging onto the road passing Dallow Hall. From here, we'll descend through woods to cross another footbridge. From here, we'll cross another 3 fields, finally climbing the gentle slope back to our starting point.
The usual concerns at this time of the year - it may be wet and muddy in places. There may be animals in the fields.
Although it says accessible by public transport, the nearest bus stop is at Laverton which is 1 and 1/4 miles from the start.
