Undulating and scenic walk descending down to Water Lane Cottages via Keeper's Cottage with a chance to take in the view from the Sand Pit (after climbing a few steps). We cross the busy A248 past St. Peter's and St. Paul's Church, Albury and the Tillingbourne River to reach the pretty village of Shere, where we will take a short break.
We start our steady climb back up to North Downs Way which will lead us back to the car park walking on a flat route.
There are two stiles, some narrow paths with brambles and roots and possible cattle in the field.
Mainly shady walk but some open fields. Walking poles are recommended.
Newlands corner car park is free and the visitor centre has coffee, snacks and ice cream available.
Toilets are also available.
