Overview

Join us as we visit several of the nature reserves created by Gateshead Council on the sites of old sand and gravel quarries.  Some are very new, others are well established, but all now support an impressive range of wildlife.  The route is on good footpaths and we will finish with refreshments at a restored 18th-century watermill.
