Overview

Explore the Keelman's Way and Blaydon Burn in this walk to the south of the river Tyne. 

The route from Newburn follows the Tyne east along the Keelman's Way, passing the Blaydon Races  monument, before heading up through Blaydon Burn Nature Reserve. We climb up to Barlow gaining extensive views north over the Tyne valley. We return down through Folly Nature Reserve and through Ryton Willows and back along the river Tyne on the Keelman's Way.
