Overview

We ascend from the South side of Leith Hill past meadows and historic cottages. On the way back we go through Rhododendron wood, created by Caroline Wedgwood (Charles Darwin's sister and Ralph Vaughan Williams' grandmother).  There should be plenty of colour at this time of year.

Potentially some cattle on the route. Dogs on short leads where this is the case, and on narrow paths.
