Overview

The Bog and area around inspired Tolkien’s writing and imagination. The walk begins with a circuit of Moseley Bog full of wildlife and history, before crossing Swanshurst Park to Shire Country Park. Here we do a loop around the River Cole before returning to the start via John Morris Jones way. Toilets available at the start and finish. Refreshments available at Sarehole Mill. Generally good (sometimes narrow) paths and board walks, with stretches of open meadow walking.
