Overview

Rivers south of Reading. A walk mostly along river banks, following the Kennet from Theale into Reading and the Holybrook back out again. The walk manages to avoid built-up areas for nearly all its length, following pleasant riverside paths. It touches on some of Readings history, including former mills, the old Coley branch and 16th century buildings at Coley Park farm. Virtually flat. The walk start can be reached by public transport - train from Reading to Theale, then a short walk down to Sheffield Bottom Picnic Area car park.
