Overview

Walk will start from Seathwaite Farm car park NY23541 12221 at 09:15.

Walk will be led by Roger L.

A spring walk up to the highest point in England with extensive views and lots of time to take them in. This moderately paced walk will ascend Grains Gill to Esk Hause and then along the ridge past Ill Crag and Broad Crag to the summit of the Pike. We'll then descend towards Lingmell to pick up the corridor route back to Sty Head Tarn and the descent back to Seathwaite. A little scrambling on the final ascent to the Pike and a VERY short section on the corridor route. Otherwise, engage cruise control and enjoy the views!
