Overview

A moderately low level walk through woodland and forest paths which can be muddy and rough in places .
From the cafe we take path through Phillipshaugh Estate to Bowhill Estate. Walk up the quiet road to Newark Castle . Return by the Lady’s walk which follows an attractively wooded stretch of the Yarrow Water. Leave Bowhill and take path past the Covenanters Memorial. Cross the road, onto the path that takes us to the meeting of the waters, past the salmon leap back to start.
