A moderate but hilly walk exploring parks, woodland and open spaces southeast of Croydon including the seven hills (like Rome!). Some mud so please wear boots and bring poles if needed. Although starting from East Croydon station, we’ll quickly be out into parks and green countryside. Note some of the hills are quite steep and are towards the end of the walk.
We’ll stop for a morning coffee break (cafe and toilets). Please bring a picnic lunch (no cafe or toilets at lunch stop). Toilets at East Croydon station and cafe early in walk, but no toilets after that.
Take direct train from Victoria/Clapham Junction to East Croydon. Alternatively, Thameslink train from Blackfriars or London Bridge.
There are no trams from New Addington due to engineering works, so we will return to East Croydon by replacement bus.
Several potential drop outs along the route.
