Starting from Hollingbourne station, and passing a church that was first built in the 14th century (associated with the Culpepper family), we then follow historic North Downs trackway, also known as the Pilgrim’s Way, with wide views, down to the beautiful village of Lenham, for a picnic lunch and drinks at nearby pub or tea room. After lunch, we will go back to the Pilgrim’s Way and straight to the beautiful historic village of Charing, where you can find the ruins of an Archbishop’s palace, church and pubs.
