We will leave the Community Centre and walk through the small town of Snodland to Brooklands Lake, a 28 acre lake which is owned by Medway Fisheries. There are approximately 15 lakes in Snodland! We will then move forward to Leybourne Lake Country Park, a lake side providing watersports to members. There is a cafe and bathroom facilities here where we can take a snack/water break. Leaving the lakes behind, we will walk along the edge of the River Medway and through the Holborough Marshes where you may see unusual plants and birds. The third part of this walk will lead us towards the North Downs and return us to our cars.
Please bring a picnic.
There are toilets at the start point and at the cafe, but not anymore until the finish.
Plenty of parking.
The second half of the walk may be muddy.
The walk is mainly flat with a few manageable slopes.
