Starting in the town centre, we head west through Kippington, past a property with historic links to Winston Churchill. We then walk through the Montreal Estate, near Green Lane Farm, looping round into the tranquil Mill Bank Wood. We then head towards Sevenoaks Common crossing Longspring Wood, before making our way into Knole Park for the final part of the walk. There will be an opportunity to leave the walk at 7 miles, if any ramblers wish to stay in the Park and enjoy a scone in the National Trust café. We will then head back into the town centre, where the walk will finish. There are plenty of places to lunch in Sevenoaks at the end of the walk.
Parts of the route may be muddy after rain. There are a couple of stiles along the route, a few steps to navigate and a small amount of road walking. There are a couple of small hills, but nothing strenuous.
Please bring a snack.
Toilets are available at 7 miles at Knole Park.
No dogs please as we pass through fields with livestock.
PLEASE NOTE THE 9.30am START TIME. (This is to aid parking at Sevenoaks District Council Offices, off Gordon Road, which is free at weekends, but can get busy. Other car parks are available in Sevenoaks, but at a charge.)
