This walk is a figure of eight starting at Strines railway station. Heading north we will stop at Mellor church for elevenses then carry on to Mill Brow and the first of three Brook Bottoms we pass through on the walk. The second loop sees us ascending to Mellor Moor where we should have a great view of Kinder Scout. There is an optional pub stop at the Fox Inn located at the last Brook Bottom half a mile from the end of the walk.
Car parking at Strines railway station. There are no toilets at the start or en-route, only at the pub at the end of the walk.
The station is on the Manchester to Sheffield route.
The route uses a mix of bridleways and footpaths some of which are steep and muddy when wet.
Dogs on short leads permitted but please let the walk leader know in advance.
