The walk leader will provide directions for anyone wishing to return directly to Glossop station instead of visting the Tap.
This is a delightful walk around almost the whole of the Longdendale Valley, an area not frequently traversed by the group. The views should be excellent.
Despite the long distance, the terrain is relatively straightforward. There are no obvious bail out points where public transport is available, so you will need a high level of fitness to complete the distance.
Please note it is advisable to carry at least 2 litres of water on this walk to avoid dehydration no re-fill points on route unless you have water purification equipment with you.
