Overview

This route takes you right through Lauder to the track of the old railway line, which is pleasantly grassed over.  A section of country road takes you past the old Lauderdale Hunt Kennels, before a series of well-defined farm tracks lead you to Whitlaw Farm and back along the course of the Harry Burn onto Launder Common and onto Lauder

TERRAIN: Mainly tracks and country roads, boots recommended during wet weather

Meet at Market Place, Lauder near the Post office, TD2 6SR. There is limited street parking in Lauder but there is a carpark five minutes away at Lauderdale Drive, TD2 6SN (at bottom of Mill Wynd). This is a carpark for the Southern Upland Way. The walk leader is happy to drive 3 others from the Kelso area.
