Overview

These are the details for the basic walk but there is an optional extension to the trig point on Ewes Hill and through the forest giving excellent views to the north. This will make a 13km/8m walk with ascent of 315m/1033ft.

Both versions start at the railway station and head up behind the village alongside the river and onto the broad ridge between Cribbilaw & Cottie Hill. A mixture of fields, tracks and forest paths with a small amount of road walking. Potential for boggy conditions in places and the possibility of cattle. Lots of good views.
