Vale of White Horse Ramblers are a friendly group who walk mid-week and weekends in southern Oxfordshire. Highlights are the Ridgeway, the Thames Path, and the Uffington White Horse.
From Wantage we head to the pretty village of Letcombe Regis then North to East Challow. We then walk along part of the Vale way beside the old canal and back to Wantage.
The Beacon is 200m south of the Market Place where buses arrive. There is paid car parking there. Regular short walk from Wantage held on the third Thursday of every month.
No pub stop, but we aim to be back in Wantage in time for lunch. Wantage has a variety of eating places. Wantage is reachable directly by bus from Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot, Faringdon. Vale Walk Leader PR 07418 078044
