A 10 mile linear walk from Milngavie train station to Clachan of Campsie via the West Highland Way, Mugdock Country Park, John Muir Way, Strathblane and the Strathkelvin Railway Path. There will be the option for walkers to shorten the walk at Strathblane after 6 miles.
If the weather isn't suitable on Saturday 17th January then the walk could be rescheduled to Saturday 7th February.
Please meet by the ticket office in Glasgow Queen Street High Level Station at 9.20am having bought a single ticket to Milngavie. We will catch the 9.38 train from platform 8 of the low level station to Milngavie. There is the option to join the train at Partick (9.45), Hyndland (9.48), Anniesland (9.51). The walk will start once the train has arrived at Milngavie and all walkers have met up here.
Please wear warm, wintry clothing and walking boots as underfoot conditions will be muddy and slippery in places. Bring a full set of waterproofs, a packed lunch and hot drink.
From Milton of Campsie, the X85 bus service leaves at 15 and 45 mins past the hour arriving at Buchanan St Bus Station in approximately 50 mins.
