A walk with fabulous views of the Clyde Estuary. Following the aqueducts from Drumfochar to Wemyss Bay.
The first stage follows the Greenock Cut and then cuts off to go up Dunrod Hill and down to the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre. The second stage is along the Kelly Cut up to the Kelly reservoir and then down the Kelly Glen and into Wemyss Bay.
If you wish to come on the walk you must contact the Leader (Sandra) in advance by email or text but not more than two weeks in advance. For this walk that is the Saturday 27th July. Also please provide the Leader with a mobile phone number in case arrangements change.
If you’ve not had a response within a couple of days please check your junk mail.
The Greenock Cut is on good paths. Across to Dunrod Hill can be boggy, especially after any rain. The Kelly Cut is not as well maintained so can also be muddy. There are a couple stiles and a number of streams to cross.
There are toilets in the Visitor Centre and at Wemyss Bay Station.
There will be snack and lunch stops so please bring plenty to eat and drink.
Walkers should not come on the walk if they have any symptoms associated with the Covid virus.
