A walk through the beautiful North Yorkshire countryside, taking in the scenic rocky outcrop of Almscliffe crag. Starting at Weeton train station and walking to Hornbeam park station, which is on the same Leeds to Harrogate line.
The route has the odd steep climb, but is generally gradual along open countryside track. Weather is expected to be warm, so please bring sun protection and plenty of water.
The start point is outside the platform 2 entrance to Weeton train station.
If travelling by train, the 09:59 from Leeds arrives at Weeton station at 10:19. Make sure to get a return ticket to Hornbeam Park station.
If travelling by car, there is car parking at Weeton train station, and you can get the train from Hornbeam Park to Weeton at the end.
Please note that there is quite a lot of animals and livestock along the route, hence unfortunately dogs cannot be permitted.
There are no toilet facilities at Weeton station or along the walk route.
