To get the New Year off to a great start, why not join us for a walk through North Hertfordshire's countryside? New members will be warmly welcomed. We will start walking from Weston, visiting Holy Trinity Church to admire the kneelers, sewn in the 1960s and 1970s, and pass Jack O' Legs grave, a chance to recount the legend of Hertfordshire's giant Robin Hood. We then follow paths across fields and skirting woods to Graveley. The return path follows a ridge, giving fine views of rolling countryside and Stevenage. On our return to Weston, you may want to seek refreshment and conversation at The Cricketers.
Parking has been agreed in the Cricketers car park.
There are some stretches of walking along quiet country lanes.
There are a number of benches along the route for a rest to enjoy the views. Bring your own refreshments.
Paths could be muddy, come prepared.
