We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
An easy 4.5 mile walk on moorland, passing Wistman's ancient woodlands, crossing the river Cowsic via a weir and walking alongside The Devonport leat .
Starting at the small quarry car park on the B3212, opposite the Two Bridges Hotel about 4 miles east of Tavistock . ( parking Hotel and if use refreshment facilities after walk can park free of charge).

uneven Rocky terrain in places, several stiles and boggy in one place .
If the River is too high to cross at the weir we will head up to Longaford Tor and walk back via Crockern Tor, the seat of the ancient Stannary Parliament.
We will stop for a coffee break.
