York Ramblers - Whitby and Saltwick Nab

This is an easy walk of approximately 10.3miles and 900ft of assent.  It starts at West Cliff Car Park (Parking is Free in February). We walk down into the town, then follow the River Esk to Ruswarp. At Ruswarp we have a short section on the road, doing a  short detour to a wonderfull waterfall at Golden Grove before cutting though Cock Mill Wood. We then pass through the edge of Stainsacre and Hawsker before turning towards the sea at Gnipe How. We then follow the Cleveland Way on the coastal path via Saltwick Bay and Saltwick Nab to get a great view of the Abbey, before decending the 199 steps back into Whitby and the back up to the Car Park.
