This s a circular route from Little Chalfont heading west through Ladies’ Arbour, Lane Wood and Market Reading Wood then over and under the CMR railway line before joining the Chess Valley Walk. Turning eastwards we skirt woodland and open countryside with stunning views of Latimer Park and Great Water, the lake formed in the 1750s by the damming of the River Chess. We cross the river by Neptune Waterfall and return to Chalfont via West Wood. An undulating ramble including a short steepish descent and a long slow ascent. No stiles.
