Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.

Setting off from the station at Richmond Upon Thames, we will head through the town and along the river before cutting uphill to reach Richmond Park. Here we will follow the Tamsin Trail, a man-made walking trail going to all corners of Richmond Park.
The path includes a couple of short climbs near Kingston Gate and some slow inclines near Pembroke Lodge and Sheen. It passes many of the deer's favourite places so photographic opportunities are likely.
Please bring a packed lunch. Although this is an afternoon walk, we are meeting at 12pm, so there will be a short lunch stop in the early part of the walk.
On completion of the trail, we will head downhill back to Richmond for the optional firework display. Depending on the pace of the walk, it’s likely there will be time for a drink in the pub and a hot dog at the fireworks before the display starts at 7.00pm.

Please meet in the front entrance to Richmond Station at 12pm. If coming by train, buy a return to Richmond Upon Thames. There is a train from Waterloo at 11.39am, arriving at Richmond Upon Thames at 11.58am. Richmond Upon Thames is also on the District Line for those coming by underground.
