This social event follows the Richmond Park walk on the same day. Ramblers on the Richmond Park walk can choose to stay on for the pub social and firework display after the walk. Alternatively, Ramblers are free to come just for the social and fireworks should they wish.
If coming from the walk, we will head straight to the Hope pub in Richmond when it’s finished. For anyone just joining the social, please meet us in the pub at around 5.00pm.
We’ll spend an hour or so in the pub for weary walkers and enthusiastic revellers to have a few drinks. Then at about 6.00pm we’ll head to the firework display at the Richmond Athletic ground.
The breathtaking firework display will be set to music and fully choreographed. There will be a funfair and entertainment in the grounds before and after the display.
Beyond the fireworks, you’ll find a fantastic selection of food and drinks, from classic hamburgers and hot dogs to indulgent crepes, churros, and donuts. Warm up with mulled wine, teas, and coffees, or enjoy a drink from the bar.
Please note tickets to the firework display must be bought in advance (https://www.rag-events.co.uk/major-public-events-at-the-rag/richmond/family/fireworks/). There will be no tickets on sale at the door.
The firework display will finish by 7.30pm, but the funfair and stalls stay open until 9.00pm. Richmond Athletic ground is a five minute walk from the station for getting home afterwards.
