Would you like to go walking with the Tyneside Ramblers?
You may be new to walking or an experienced hiker. People of all ages come on our walks, Wednesday has more retired people than on a Sunday. There is a more or less even split between men and women.
Walks are graded and vary in length from 5 to 20 miles. Every walk has a leader and you choose which walk to take. Somedays you may prefer a shorter, easy going group or perhaps you might choose a longer strenuous walk.
The day starts with coach travel from Newcastle upon Tyne. There are 2 coaches on Sundays & and 2 on Wednesdays. Groups are dropped-off, you spend the day with the small group. The day ends in Newcastle. It avoids you having to drive back!
Some people love the benefits of a walk leader who has planned an enjoyable route, so they don’t need to worry about finding the footpath or following a map. Click for Walking grades
