Oswestry Ramblers welcome people who enjoy walking and the countryside. We walk twice a week mainly in Shropshire and Wales and help improve local footpaths.
A moderate walk through the Ceiriog Forest on forest roads and along North Berwyn Way to Vivod Mountain and back to the start on footpaths and quiet lanes. One ascent of 0.4 miles to the mountain top for lunch followed by long steady descentwith a few stiles. Excellent views to the Dee Valley on one side and the Ceriog valley the other. Parking limited, car sharing requested where possible.
If you take the route to the start from Chirk Castle along the ridge you will be rewarded with excellent views. The road has many potholes but is fairly straight.
