Overview

This walk on Thursday, 9 th May, is a figure-of-eight from the White Hart, High Street, Stockbridge, SO20 6HF.  It is on the left just as you enter the town from Winchester. We have permission to park at the pub which will be open at 10:00 for us to order lunch. The walk will start promptly at 10.15.

Lunch is booked for 12.30.

The walk is south out of the town to Stockbridge Down, with fine views in all directions. There is a steep descent from the hill fort to the road, then on tracks beside Leckford Golf Course and along the Test Way. There is just one stile. This is about 5.5 miles.

The afternoon walk is north up the High Street and back on field paths and minor roads. This is around 3 miles.

Please join me for all or part of the walk. Please let me know what you intend to do re the walk and whether you will stay for lunch.
