Overview

An interesting walk taking in waterfalls, hamlets and woodland, finishing on the path overlooking Ullswater. We walk on good paths which can be stony at times, and quiet lanes. It includes an optional extension to include climbing Little Mell Fell if the weather is suitable.

Parking in a National Trust carpark: bring your NT card. Please be aware that there are a lot of fallen trees in one section, which can be easily scrambled over. If the weather is icy please bring mini-spikes if you have them. The walk will be at a moderate pace.
