8 miles circular with an option to truncate it to 6 miles for anybody wanting a shorter walk.
Description: From the CP we walk uphill to Finlow Hill, Widmill Wood, Whitebarn and back to Nether Alderley. Then through Alderley Park to the Churchill Tree and back through the woods to the cars. Mainly good paths on rough ground, fields, some minor road walking. Inevitably mud in places, but not much and only a couple of stiles to negotiate.
Refreshments: Bring a packed lunch and a drink.
Toilets: None except the Churchill Tree pub.
Dogs: Potentially livestock in fields, so no dogs sorry.
