Overview

PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF WALK

There are a couple of hills which we will take slowly as usual, also a few stiles but they shouldn’t be an issue.

From Rushton we walk the disused railway line through fields to the A523. This is an exceptionally busy road – if you have been on this walk with me before you will understand that we need to cross the road in 3s a there is no room in front of the stile.

We follow the Gritstone Trail to join the Dane Valley Way to Barleigh Ford Bridge up to the Dumkins, Whitelee Wood across the River Dane to Hollinhall, Brandy-Lee and back down into Rushton.

A couple of climbs where we will stop to “admire the view”!

Please bring drink/snack and ICE card.

If you are planning to have lunch at the Knott Inn, you may be able to use their car park. Tel 01260 226000 to check.
