A walk around Clackmannan, on the flood plain of the River Forth, passing two historic buildings before visiting a country park.

After passing Alloa Tower, follow track across the Forth wetlands to Clackmannan Tower on King’s Seat Hill.  Then to Clackmannan Tolbooth, the Mannan Stone and along Clackmannan village main street.  Follow paths to Gartmorn Dam Nature Reserve and return along Brothie Burn path.

Local Grade: C+

Terrain:  Mostly country paths, rough and muddy in a few places.  1km through urban area at the end to return to the car park.

Candleriggs Car Park off East Vennel – the car park is free. East Vennel is off the Tesco Roundabout, so the car park is directly across the road from the large Tesco in Alloa.
