Overview

One of the finest Limestone walks in the country, starting from Alport, near Bakewell.

Follow the Bradford river upstream, through Youlgreave towards Monyash. Before reaching Monyash you will turn east and follow Lathkill Dale, initially for the first kilometre along a dry river bed. Suddenly the river will appear in full flow from inside a cave. The rest of the walk follows this most picturesque river valley back to Alport via Over Haddon and Conksbury.
