We are the East Cheshire Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Moderate 9 mile walk.
Lovely circular walk of about 9 miles along fairly good tracks via Limestone Way, Pennine Way, Chee Dale and Monsal trail with lots of open views of the limestone cliffs and Derbyshire fields. We walk up from Millers Dale to Monk Dale Farm and then on towards Wheaton where we take the lane towards Peters Dale and Wormhill. We walk passed the quarry to Meadow and Wye Dale back to the car park via Chee Dale.
Steep decent near the end with glorious views, so poles would be useful if you use them and there is a small section of uneven stone on the Limestone Way. Some climbing mainly before lunch. Total ascent based on OS app is 1363 feet.
After the walk we can have refreshments at the cafe for those interested.

Starting point: Millers Dale Car Park - postcode SK17 8SN, grid reference SK13867325, Meet at front of car park near toilet block. The recommended car park is at Millers Dale which is a pay for car park by cash, card or Ring go app. Car sharing is recommended due to cost of £7 for all day parking. There is limited free parking at Litton Mill and in nearby small lay-bys at owner’s risk.
