Overview

The first half of the walk  from Thornton Rust is mainly a climb, mostly gentle to near the top of Stake Pass via Copley Green.We descend all the way back  from 1800ft on good ,mainly grassed paths, using an "open access" path passing near Gayle Ings. A summer moorland walk mainly on limestone with good views.Note 1300feet of ascent. A few stiles.
