The walk will follow the line of the River Lowther from Bampton Grange, through Rosgill and on to Shap Abbey on grassy footpaths. The going underfoot is generally good. We will have a stop (lunch?) at Shap Abbey and then reverse the walk to arrive back at Bampton Grange. The route can be followed without the use of stiles, although there is one at the Shap Abbey end.
Good views of surrounding countryside; a visit to the ruins of Shap Abbey.
