Overview

From Sea Mills Railway station, we walk beside the River Avon adjacent to the Gorge, crossing the A4 (can be busy, care needed), taking a steep climb up through Bishops Knoll Nature Reserve to the Downs, then returning to Sea Mills station via Stoke Bishop, mainly on footpaths.

Outward trains to Sea Mills:

From Bristol Temple Meads:  ETD 10.46, ETA 11.04

From Weymouth ETD 07.33, ETA 11.04 (arrive at Bristol Temple Meads 09.50, and change train for 10.46 from Bristol Temple Meads to Sea Mills)

Return trains from Sea Mills:

To Bristol Temple Meads: 15.20

To Weymouth: 15: 20 (arrive Bristol Temple Meads 15.42, change train for Weymouth, ETD 16.03) 

Most railway stations along the line do not have toilets, including Weymouth.  If needed, it is advisable to use the train toilets before alighting.

Whilst the walks are risk assessed, they may be changed at short notice if necessary.  For your health and safety, we recommend that you wear good walking boots/shoes, consider if you need trekking poles, and bring sufficient food/drink for the walk.
