Due to weather forecast we will start at 10:30
We will start from Bedford Bridge and walk through the woods and up the steep path to the Gem Bridge to follow the Dartmoor Way to Doublewaters for coffee break. Return is along the West Devon Way before finally dropping back down to the car park. This is the opposite way to originally published.
The path will be wet and muddy in places. There are many areas with stones and rocks as well as exposed roots that can be slippery so boots are absolutely necessary. The toilets at Bedford Bridge car park remain closed.
I have rated the walk as moderate, but note that there is a quite steep climb near the beginning and later as we leave Doublewaters in this undulating walk.
