This is a walk through the bucolic Kent Countryside from Wadhurst station to Bewl Water, where we will then follow the wooded shoreline of the reservoir before heading back to the town of Wadhurst and then back to Wadhurst station.
Towards the end of the walk people may choose to spend some time in the beautiful town of Wadhurst where there are cafes, pubs and interesting buildings. However the town is about 3km from the station, so this will mean leaving the group and getting back to the station independently. There is one bus an hour, or a walk along a main road (which I will be avoiding by using back roads and field paths).
Please make use of toilets on the train. We do pass a single pub, but other than that there are no toilets until we get to the town of Wadhurst towards the end of the walk.
Please bring a packed lunch.
This walk will be led at a brisk pace.
No booking required.
No dogs
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
