Bleadon

West Mendip Walkers 8 mile moderate circular walk (1483 feet elevation) from Bleadon village. We start by climbing Hellenge Hill Nature Reserve and then head towards Hutton Hill with lovely views. The walk takes in the areas of Hutton, Lower and Upper Canada, Christon and the orchards at Shiplate. The walk has plenty of variety from hills, open fields (some with livestock), woods, orchards, beautiful villages and churches. Minimal country lane walking. If we're lucky on the day the alpacas may be in one of the fields that we pass by. A lovely walk, dogs on leads where livestock present. Drinks in the Queens Arms pub in Bleadon village at the end of the walk. This walk has several steep climbs
